MY RAF DAYS AND AFTER | home
OLD LUBECK.
The following photos were sent to me by Bill Evison, and I have started a new page
for them.
St. Mary's Church seen from St. Peter's Church Tower. Town Hall steps.
St. Mary's Church, and view of St. Mary's Church, and Town Hall on left.
Burgtor, or Town Gate, this is where we were accosted by a German Sailor, saying "Hello Johnny" you buy Lubeck Sailor and he would show us a box about a foot long and on lifting the lid there lay a wooden model of a Sailor. There was more to it than that, but only those that have seen it will know what I mean. The other photo is a half timbered house by the Cathedral.
St. Mary's and St. Peter's Churches. Another view of the Holsten Tor.
The place with Hospitalof the Holy Ghost.
Interior of the Hospital of the Holy Ghost.
Market Place and Town Hall, and Town Hall restaurant entrance.
Two realy nice photos of the bygone days, the Holsten Tor with a bus pulled up,
and the Puppet Bridge with the Holsten Tor in the background, with an old tram.
St. Mary's from St. Peter's and (sorry another one of my favorites) the Holsten Tor,
from St. Peter's.
First photo is the Holsten Harbour, and then the Hansa Harbour.
The Hansa Harbour again, further along, and the Burg Tor.
The Burg Tor with the high tide, the Klug Harbour one side and the Hansa Harbour the other, in flood light. The other is of the Church of St. Mary.
Well thats it for now,
unless someone else has
any photos to put on.
