Our first visit to Lonsee was in May 1989, a delegation of 8 arrived in
Lonsee for the May Day Fair, this is an ancient custom they revived
for their 1100 years celebrations in 1988, and now held every year.

![]() All our ladies were given a plant in a pot by the gardeners club.
Barbara is seen here with her plant.

The Charter signing in Lonsee took place in October 1990, in the Mehrzweckhalle and was signed by the Kingskerswell Parish Chairman Michael Haines and the Mayor of Lonsee Gunther mack. 26 of us travelled by coach. We had a wide variety of weather during the
visit, having snow when we arrived and sunshine when we left.

The Cathedral tower of Ulm's Cathedral, you can climb up to the
walkway at the top of the tower, one year as we got to the open
part it was snowing, then as you went down it had stopped.
I can't remember if there were 1,746 steps to the top of the tower
or not, I will check next time I speak to someone from Lonsee.
![]() This is the last level before the tower narrows, below is Gunther, Christina and Sebastian. I carry on climbing.
