"ITS A KNOCK OUT"
After saying about it's a knockout on the French AY page, I thought
I should look for some photos, of some of the games, so here goes.
The first date I can remember is, 1983 in Ay, then 1984 in Quaregnon,
1985 in Besigheim, 1986 in Conde, 1987Newton Abbot. And the next
one in Newton Abbot was in 1992, (I am not certain of the date but
some one will tell me).
The team of 10 ready to leave for the games in Besiheim in 1985.
They are holding their sponser's name in front of them.
The one on the left back row is the coach.
A mid-night stop for petrol and a breather, at one of the French service stations, left to right me, Gunter Chair of N.A.T.A.,
Neville and two of the team.
The Games are to be held here in front of the Town hall.
Some of the teams parading through Conde.
Teams waiting to perform.
Besigheim in action.
It's so long ago I havn't a clue what they are doing.
This is where we all slept. to the left of the photo is a big lake, some
of the teams went swimming to keep cool.
Thats all from Conde, next games is in Newton Abbot 1987.

Games items being prepaired. The games are being played at Decoy
lake in the morning and here at the race course in the afternoon
After painting, being taken to the stables for storing.
This is to be the backdrop to the games and also will be used for the smugglers game, designed, painted, cut out, yours truly and built by
most of the committee members.
Which one will you bet on, me none. This game was called the
National
Hunt, all enjoyed it, so I was told.
All items for the games being sorted out and then stored.
Final check on the course before the games start.

Here we are again back at Newton Abbot,
for the 1992 games.
The teams are going through Newton Abbot.
The theme for this year was the bridge of friendship, with the names
of the teams competing on it.
Two teams on the cranked planks, with the upires in black and the
judges in green and white.
Something to do with oil drums? passing one along so that the
person in front can move on? certainly made me scratch my head.
Enter the dragons, it was a fantastic weekend for all of us, roll on the
next one.

THATS ALL FOLKS.
